Hi David,

I am just writing to you and your team to say thank you on a job well done.  Making an expensive investment such as renovating a bathroom and adding storage areas can be a stressful event. There are always plenty of things that go through your mind such as ‘what if the finished product is substandard?’ or ‘what if I don’t get what I’m after?’. There is also the question of ‘which company should I go with?’ The thing that stood out about Nottingham Builders is your passion for delivering and producing an excellent product. Renovating isn’t just something you do to make a living, it is something you actually love doing and are passionate about. When you first came to our house to give us a quote, you did not rush in and out of our home but you took the time to listen to what we were after. Your follow up phone call and the tour of a recently finished project is what helped us decide to go with you. You showed a lot of passion and enthusiasm while you took us through your display.

You kept in constant communication with us so we knew how things were going behind the scenes. You consulted with us throughout the whole process and double checked with us to ensure that we were happy with how things were progressing.

The tradespeople themselves were very professional and sensitive to our need to avoid clutter. Things were always kept as tidy as possible. They were very meticulous and paid attention to detail.

The finished products speak for themselves! The bathroom and new shelving system are functional and presentable. They are of a high quality that our friends and family have made positive comments on. All we can say is that we have a beautiful bathroom! Our linen cupboard and DVD/CD rack are practical and helped us a lot in providing extra storage area. These will give us a lot of pleasure using it for many years to come!

This is to say thank you for the good job you and your team have done at our home.

People (or perhaps it’s just the media) are full of stories of builders who don’t deliver or leave an expensive mess. You did none of those things.

• We felt your advance planning was spot on,
• and you constantly checked with us, so that no mistakes were made.
• Your continual and deft communications with countless tradesmen every day made sure that the plans all worked out efficiently, and with remarkable speed.
• You and all the men who came were all very interesting and friendly and good to have around the place.  I learned a lot about the various skills and technologies used.
• People worked hard all the time to get the job done – there was no hint of slacking off at any time.
• We also think your prices were reasonable.
• We also think the standard of materials and of workmanship was high, and expect that what you’ve all done will last for a long time.
• The drain in particular was extremely thorough, with two separate drainage pipes, cloth to prevent small earth particles entering the lower ag pipe, very deep excavation, gravel and a very complete membrane. If any moisture ever gets into our house again, it’ll require a miracle! I also appreciated the proper outlets to the gutter. A small detail that illustrated your attention to detail.

We much appreciated the various bits of work you threw in without extra charge. The gravel path down the side, the generous mass of earth, the book-moving and other things were an unexpected bonus. We have now levelled and moved that earth, covered it with mulch, and have started planting an attractive new garden at the front, and a vegetable bed at the back. We’ve also got a little more turf and rehabilitated the front footpath.

Now we survey a greatly improved home, both sides, back and front. We are already experiencing daily the enormous benefit of the drive-thru driveway you’ve created.

The big drain having been completed by you, our insurer’s workers are now inside doing the flood repairs. We have hopes that we may have everything back in place and in good order by the end of the month.
